For the past 15 years, the Bugatti Trust has been associated with Coventry University (named ‘University of the Year for Student Experience’ in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2015 as well as retaining its title of ‘Modern University of the year’ for the second consecutive year) in a dedicated annual award scheme to encourage good design in engineering.

The 2014 awards recipients are:

Best 1st year student (highest overall marks): Samantha Parsons

Individual project: Oliver Petschenyk for his design of a Hybrid Planetary CVT Gearbox

Individual Project: Noach Ben-Haim for his design of an Electric Longboard (Personal Electric Vehicle)

During the presentation, Coventry University was represented by Mike Dickson who commented that it was an honour to be associated with the Bugatti Trust for these awards and that he was thrilled for Samantha, Oliver and Noach whose innovative creations are thoroughly deserving of recognition. The rich history and heritage of the Trust combined with the cutting edge design innovation of Coventry is a fitting combination to celebrate the Bugatti name.
