Education

The Bugatti Trust recently commissioned the Institution of Engineering and Technology to develop two STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) learning resources to be made freely available to young learners nationwide and beyond. The organisation supports STEM teachers and home educators by providing a range of resources linked to the UK curriculum and the Trust partnered with them to develop learning experiences inspired by Ettore Bugatti’s approach to engineering and design.

The first resource developed for children of primary school age explores gear ratios and gear trains, the second resource aimed at ages 11 and over looks at the importance of the material used for wheels. Ettore Bugatti stunned the world of motoring when he introduced the Bugatti Type 35 and its aluminium wheels in 1924, an important centenary anniversary the Trust will celebrate next year.
